If you find yourself without a C-wire, you can try the following steps. However, it is important to first seek confirmation from your HVAC manufacturer or an electric engineer.

1. Furnace Part: Connect the G-wire to the C terminal. Use a black jumper wire to connect G to either Y or W (if you need heat, connect to W; otherwise, connect to Y).

2. Thermostat Part: Connect the G wire to the C terminal on the wallplate. The G terminal on the wallplate is left blank.
